Aisle Types
Lift trucks are classified due to the kinds of aisles they have been designed to operate in. Narrow Aisle and Wide Aisle lift trucks are designed to turn in the aisle, whilst Very Narrow Aisle trucks really don't turn in the aisle. There are some aisle widths to consider with various units.

Very Narrow Aisle trucks could work in less than 6 feet areas, whilst some would use certain guidance systems like optical, rail or wire systems in order to travel in the aisles. Some different models of VNA trucks include Turret Trucks, Swing Masts and Order Selectors. These are common kinds in compact retail areas and in some storage and warehouse situations.

Narrow Aisle trucks could work in aisles from 8 feet to 10 feet wide. Normally these are stand-up models like Reach Trucks. They are usually utilized within storage facilities and warehouses.

Wide Aisle Standard forklifts fall into this truck category and are designed to work in aisles which are more than 11 feet wide.

Stand-Up Ergonomics
The "Ergomat" padding on stand-up units provide padding on a sloped floorboard. These features are made to reduce operator fatigue by absorbing vibration. The operator compartment is really large and has an 8" low step height that helps lessen overall body exhaustion by easing frequent exit and entry. The unit includes polyurethane steer tires to absorb shocks and vibration caused by uneven floor in order to allow smooth traveling. For additional comfort, there is a floor mat and a cushioned armrest as well as a backrest designed to help keep drivers comfortable and thus more productive while limiting exhaustion.
